Ourlads' Profile:

2017 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about CHIDOBE AWUZIE: Colorado, 5117 202 4.43. Four-year starter from San Jose, CA. Started 42 of 48 games. Finished his career as a first-team All-Pac 12 honoree after being named to the second-team in 2015. Co-recipient of the team’s MVP award last fall as well. Pro-ready technique and reaction ability. Very quick twitched with excellent pre-snap recognition and instincts. Anticipates routes and throws consistently. Has the short area burst and agility to stick to a receiver’s hip pocket throughout the short and intermediate route tree. Top tier balance and body control. Rarely loses track of his lower half. Can be trusted all over the field in man coverage. As physical as they come at the position. Makes an impact as a tackler and shows no hesitation when attacking oncoming traffic. Effective blitzer off the edge. Will struggle on an island against the league’s burners. Shows some stiffness when asked to turn his hips and run vertically. Struggles to get a good punch as a press corner. Needs more effort at the point of attack, appears hesitant. The Colorado secondary was among the best in college football this past season and it was Awuzie who led the way. The quick twitched, physical corner can excel from the slot and in most outside coverage responsibilities. He may not have the confidence in his deep speed to man up the NFL’s fastest downfield threats, but everywhere else this kid can be a factor. He plays with an excellent combination of technique, instincts, and quick-twitch reaction. He can play week one. 2016 stats: 64 T, 6 TFL, 4 sacks, 2 FF, 15 PBU, 1 INT. BTR:left 4.76, right 4.72. OSR:6/35. Second/third round. (A-30 5/8, H-8 1/2, VJ-34 1/2, SS-4.14).
