Four-year starter. After a late start to the gridiron (was a soccer player until junior year of high school), Jones was lightly recruited and then was on the field for just 29 snaps from the start of 2018 to the end of 2019. He was raw, but his frame is above average even for NFL standards. From there, he split time between right and left tackle in his first two seasons as a starter, then reverted back to the right side. The baseline tools are there, and he has steadily improved each season of his career. The question is how much is there left to chew off considering he is one of the most experienced linemen in this draft when looking at snaps played since 2020. Wide and long frame can give him initial advantages routinely. Has the power presence to stop a forceful bull rush without expending much energy. Mauler in the run game. Redirects his man and will stay latched on if his feet are under him. Creates movement off the line. Heavy-footed and has the tendency to fall forward from the waist-up when matched against speed. Has some ugly losses on tape where he simply cannot adjust his weight laterally with an upright torso. His 22 penalties over his last 38 games can be considered a slight warning to his future when he is tasked to contain the speed of NFL defenders.
