Ourlads' Profile:
2016 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about CHRISTIAN HACKENBERG: Penn State, 6043 223 4.84. Junior entry from Palmyra, VA. Attended Fork Union Military Academy. Started all 38 games in his career. Has NFL quarterback triangle numbers of height, weight, and speed. His career was very uneven over three years for a variety of reasons. He was sacked over 100 times in three years, underwent a coaching change that did not match up with his skill set, and had inconsistent receiver play in 2015. The talent flashes at times to succeed in the NFL, but lacks a consistent approach to his game and appears to lack confidence in his ability. Played in a pro style offense as a freshman and then after Bill O’Brien left for the Texans, he played in a basic spread formation. Has the arm strength to drive the ball down the field with little effort. Generally good passing mechanics when in the pocket. Can throw on the move as well as roll away from the action. Tough kid who readied himself for the next play after getting pummeled time and time again by the pass rush. Part of the sacks were his problem by holding onto the ball too long. Takes him awhile to read his progressions. Poise in the pocket improved in 2015. A backup quarterback prospect with a moderate deficiency in position skill level who has completed only 56.1% of his passes over his career. 2015 stats: 192/359, 2525 yds, 53.5%, 16 TD, 6 INT, -80 yds rushing, 2 TD, 123.9 QB rating. OSR:11/18. Fifth/sixth round. (A-32, H-9, SS-4.33, VJ-31).
