Ourlads' Profile:
2016 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about DARRELL GREENE: San Diego State, 6026 321 5.20. Three-year starter from Oakley, CA. Straight line athlete that can fire out of his stance hard. Good initial pop with a strong six-inch punch. Flexible and loose lower half that can bend with ease. Shows easy and fluid hip movement. Good body control and balance. Makes the effort to get upfield and look for extra work. Enjoys the role of enforcer. Does not carry his athleticism to lateral movement roles. Poor agility. Loses track of technique when engaged with a blocker. Stands up and simply tries to engulf his man rather than win the leverage battle. Misses at the second level too much when asked to block linebackers. Inconsistent effort and power output. Doesn’t always play to his strength. Started 25 consecutive games prior to the 2015 season before being suspended for a violation of team rules for 6 weeks. Greene shows promising ability as a power blocker inside. Carries a lot of functional weight with very good straight line speed. Has several areas to clean up mechanically, most notably pad level and footwork. OSR:38/47. Fourth/fifth round. (A-31 5/8, H-9 5/8, BP-28, 10-1.83).
