Ourlads' Profile:

2015 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about TERRY POOLE: San Diego State, 6046 307 5.08. Two-year starter. Junior college transfer from Monterey Peninsula CC. The rangy left tackle from Seaside, CA has a frame to gain more good weight. He put his name on the scouts’ checklist with a strong game in 2013 versus the Raiders’ 1st round pick Khalil Mack. Usually played on an island in pass protection for the Aztecs with no tight end or back help and responded time and again with game winning performances. A developing athlete with production and ascending skills. A raw but talented athlete who may be better suited to play inside at guard or at right tackle. Competitive and naturally strong. Can anchor a bull rush with technique and knee bend. A good athlete with foot quickness to get depth in pass protection to wall off or mirror an edge pass rusher. Dominated at times in the Mountain West Conference. Can pull and run in space. Good agility to get downfield on sweeps. The Aztecs, when running the ball, favored his side of the line. Physical on down blocks and when he squares up a defensive end. Good awareness to pick up an edge blitz or twist stunt. Good motor and high effort in his play. Slender lower body. Needs technique work as a run blocker and pass protector. Poole’s weaknesses are more mechanical, technique, and experience oriented, not physical. Was impressive at the East-West Shrine practices with his strength, versatility, and competitiveness. OSR:15/ 41. Fifth/sixth round. (A-33 1/4, H-9 1/2, BP-25, 10-1.78).
