Ourlads' Profile:
2013 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about DAMONTRE MOORE: Texas A&M, 6044 250 4.95. Junior entry. Two-year starter. A serious disconnect between game film and workout ability and numbers. Is rated the 21st of 23 defensive ends athletically after the Combine workouts. Yet he collected 85 tackles including 12.5 sacks during the season. Struggles with strength at the point of attack in the run game. A versatile edge rusher who can be scheme diverse in the 4-3 or 3- 4 packages. Uses his long arms to ward off blocks. Doesn’t stay blocked. Has a burst to the quarterback once he clears his feet on a delayed rush. A quick and disruptive penetrator. Plays low with good knee bend and leverage coming off the ball but will get high. Slender build that could use more upper and lower body bulk weight. Gets washed down across the pile at times. On game film he would grade out as an eventual starter in a 3-4 scheme. In workouts he would be a developmental player with draftable qualities. Improved his bench press at A&M’s pro day to 19 from the 12 he did at the Combine. Had a 35.5 vertical jump. There is a team concern that Moore didn’t finish drills at the Combine or at the A&M pro day. Questions concerning his mental toughness and lack of preparation are bothersome. Attitude and off field red flags over his career. Boom or bust prospect. 2012 stats: 85 T, 21 TFL, 12.5 sacks, 8 QBH, 2 BB, 1 FF, 2 BK. OSR:21/ 23. Second/third round. (A-34 3/4, H-10 1/4, BP-12, 10-1.72).
