Ourlads' Profile:

2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about KELLEN DIESCH:

Arizona State, 6071 301 4.89. Two-year starter, Trophy Club, TX. Transferred from Texas A&M where he spent three seasons as a backup. Earned second-team All-Pac 12 honors last season. A natural, easy-looking pass protector on the edge with smooth and repeatable footwork. His techniques are near-flawless, and it led to an incredibly high success rate on an island against pass rushers. He falls well below the prototype size for the tackle position, however, and may not have the anchor-strength for inside right away. There is a lot of weight room work to be done here, but there is no denying how good he is at blocking. Diesch knows how to get the job done and could project as a valuable backup who could overcome a size deficiency in time and evolve into a quality starter. Moldable frame that has room for more bulk and mass. Athletic and easy moving lower half with superb control and balance. Stays square to his man with his eyes up and flexion at the knees and ankles. Has full awareness of where he is and overall positioning. Keeps his heartbeat low as a pass blocker, rarely overextending. Trusts his repeatable technique. Accurate hands. Comfortable run blocker on the move. Rolls his hips into his man and will stay on him with sticky hands and active feet. Does not have the NFL body yet and will need to sleep in the weight room. Likely needs to move inside at the next level and does not yet have the power to anchor against pro interior defenders. Will occasionally compensate for his poor reach by overextending from the waist. Stands too tall when run blocking laterally.

OSR:7/51. Fifth/sixth round. (A-32 1/4, H-9 1/2, BP-25, 10-1.68).
