Ourlads' Profile:

2017 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about RASUL DOUGLAS: West Virginia, 6015 209 4.59. One-year starter and fifth-year senior from East Orange, NJ. Transfer from Nassau Community College. First-team All-Big 12 in 2016. Shows a heavy tendency to lunge when in press coverage. He also tends to be a top heavy grabber when in press which is a habit he’ll need to break on the next level. Very fluid hips which allows him to recover after getting into bad situations on initial movements in press. Good enough competitive speed to recover and get in phase, but struggles tracking the ball. Looks to be a hard press corner majoring in cover two. Slot corner is a consideration because he transitions well in short lateral distances. Closes well at 45 degree and 90 degree breaks. Aggressive and ball-productive. Flashes a different gear when going after the ball. A little high-hipped which causes him to struggle laterally. Can get lost in space and lose track of what’s going on around him. Spent two years at West Virginia, mainly at cornerback but saw some safety duties as well. The raw but tools-rich talented corner in coverage fits the mold of big and physical corners the league is looking for. He has a ways to go in terms of awareness and technique, but he proved the playmaking ability is there with his nation leading eight interceptions in 2016. Upside prospect. Senior Bowl notes: A big corner with good ball skills. Strong at the catch point. Gets his share of 50/50 balls. Needs to bend his knees and get his chin over his toes when backpedaling. Misses a lot of tackles. Needs to improve his shed technique. 2016 stats: 70 T, 3.5 TFL, 1 sack, 1 FF, 16 PBU, 8 INT. BTR:left 5.02, right 5.04. OSR:31/35. Third/fourth round. (A-32 3/8, H-9 1/4, VJ-33.5, SS-4.26).
