Plays close to the box as well as a quarter, half, or high safety. He is long and lanky with a frame that could add some muscle. As a deep safety he can be quick to open his hips to get over the top. Normally transitions smoothly but will hesitate at times reacting in the deep zones. Has adequate ball skills showing the ability to use his long arms and overall length to get to the catch point. Soft hands for the interception. Does a nice job in flat coverage getting a drop and showing the ability to close on a shallow route while playing underneath a deep one. At his best in run support near the line. Fundamentally sound tackler who takes good angles and leverage to the ball. Handles the cutback and uses the sideline. Takes on blocks with a quick strike and separate. Uses long arms to shed and work to the ball. Fits in the alley and can make plays at the line. Needs a little more bulk on his frame.
