Ourlads' Profile:
2018 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about CHUKWUMA OKORAFOR: Western Michigan, 6060 320 5.29. Three-year starter from Southfield, MI. Still considered a raw prospect when it comes to lifelong experience with the game (moved to the US in 2010), he possesses a top tier tool set. After starting on the right side in 2015, he manned the blind side for the past two seasons. Earned first-team all conference honors the past two years in addition to a few All-America honors as a senior. Has the ideal length and girth for an NFL lineman with plenty of functional strength to work with. Has heavy hands that can redirect a defender on contact. When his balance and accuracy are there, his power game is as good as anyone. Appears to handle the bull rush with ease. Sticks those tree-trunk legs into the ground with enough knee bend and just anchors himself still. He can handle power right away. Doesn’t always play with the quick twitch and coordination, however. He lumbers out of his stance and will get mixed up with his footwork, struggling to get from point A to point B laterally. Spends too much time on the ground. There are also questions surrounding his ability to quickly process information. Slow reacting to stunts and blitzes, and has had way too many false start penalties. There is a lot of “sloppy” to his game. Looks very raw. He is a risky right tackle or guard only type prospect. A work in progress. OSR:20/38. Second/ third round. (A-34 1/2, H-10 1/4, BP-19, 10-1.87).
