Ourlads' Profile:
2018 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about DURHAM SMYTHE: Notre Dame, 6053 253 4.86. Junior entry from Belton, TX. A one-year starter who played in 28 games. For the Irish his role was mainly run and pass blocking last fall. Started three games in 2016 but suffered shoulder and knee injuries. Following surgeries he missed the last 10 games of the season but came back and played in the Fiesta Bowl versus Ohio State. Demonstrated his ability to catch the ball easily in the Senior Bowl. He showed versatility during practice, separating from safeties and linebackers with quickness and guile. Smythe was a quick study in regards to learning the offense and could line up in a variety of positions. Tracks the ball well and has strong hands in a congested area. A classic inline blocker who can seal the edge. Has caught only 28 passes in his career, but averaged 13.6 yards per catch with six total touchdowns. If he stays healthy he looks to have a good NFL career. 2017 stats: 15-244, 16.3 ypr, 1 TD. OSR:10/16. Fifth/sixth round. (A-31 3/4, H-9 1/4, VJ-31, SS-4.23).
