Ourlads' Profile:
2019 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about DEXTER LAWRENCE: Clemson, 6044 342 5.04. Junior entry and three year starter from Wake Forest, NC. A blue chip recruit that made an impact right away, winning the ACC Freshman of the Year Award in 2016. Then went on to earn two straight first-team All ACC placements even though his production wasn’t anything noteworthy. Lawrence can be a missing piece to a defense that struggles against the run. His mere presence demands attention from multiple bodies and he is no slouch when it comes to pursuing the ball. Even though he is almost always the biggest and most powerful player on the field, he needs to shore up techniques and be more consistent. Not an every down player, but certainly one that can dominate in stretches. A mountain of a man that could intimidate Goliath. A freak in every sense of the word when looking at his short area explosion, power, and flexibility at his size. Has been ready for the strength of the NFL trenches since he was a freshman. A constant demand for double teams and attention. Can send not one, but two blockers upright and anchor himself in the ground. Has shown flashes of making fast and violent plays within the tackle box. Changes the way players move when they come in contact with him. Sneaky-quick out of his stance when he shoots a gap as a pass rusher. Gains the initial advantage and can walk his way up the pocket. Lacks versatility as a pass rusher. If he doesn’t get initial movement, he won’t rely on any sort of rush moves to free himself. Suspended for PEDs. 2018 stats: 37 T, 7.5 TFL, 1.5 sacks. 3 PBU, 7 QBH, 1 BK. OSR:1/21. First round. (A-34 3/4, H-10 1/2, BP-36, 10-1.78).
