Ourlads' Profile:
2019 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about ANDREW VAN GINKEL: Wisconsin, 6034 241 4.75. One year starter from Rock Valley, IA. He started at South Dakota as a red-shirt freshman and then transferred to Iowa Western Community College for a year before coming to Wisconsin. Contributed on special teams and sub packages his first year before starting last fall. Plays a traditional 3-4 outside linebacker and is a little light for the position. High motor, athletic player with outstanding range in pursuit. Shows lateral quickness with smooth change of direction. Quick with his hands to strike and can get off blocks on the move. Redirects quickly in space. Plays with a little edge and is around the ball consistently. Solid fundamental tackling skill. Keeps his head up on the tackle and finishes. Plays smart and has a good feel for zone coverage. Gets in the throwing lane and covers ground with the ball in the air. Can peel off quickly on a back in the flat. Has blitz skill with a quick get off and closing burst on the edge. Flashes a quick inside counter move and can work a quick inside stunt. Needs more technique as he can easily get locked up if he does not win with quickness at the snap. 2018 stats: 60 T, 9.5 TFL, 5.5 sacks, 3 PBU, 7 QBH, 2 FF, 1 BK. Edge speed:left 2.17, right 2.14.
