Ourlads' Profile:
2020 Guide: What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about KYLE DUGGER: Lenoir-Rhyne, 6007 217 4.47. Four-year starter, Decatur, GA. Second-team Division II All-America in 2019 and first-team All-South Atlantic conference the last two seasons. Dominating safety at a lower level. Plays in the box and is solid as a one high safety. Makes a lot of plays in a short space. Tracks downhill normally breaking down in pursuit to maintain leverage and angles to the ball. Launches into tackles with abandon. Can lay a hit on a ball carrier with gather and finish. Aggressive attacking and slipping blocks without losing leverage on the play. As a short flat defender can get under intermediate routes and break on the short throw. Has range in deep coverage with a good feel for pattern pressure. Balances multiple routes and has vision to read the quarterback. Sudden plant and drive on throws in front of him. Shows matchup skill on inside receivers with the speed to stay in phase up the field. Outstanding ball skills with ability to get to the high point. Can get hand inside to the catch point and rip a ball out. Occasional false step reacting. Gets away with it at a lower level. Will miss tackles occasionally being overly aggressive. Will come in too low or high at times. Outstanding kick and punt return skill with several long returns. Can make the first guy miss and has a burst in the open. Dugger was a man among boys in Division II and there will be a learning curve, but his tools are NFL ready. He projects to any scheme and should provide outstanding special teams play. Senior Bowl performance helped project him. Senior Bowl notes: Showed some versatility playing the short and deep zones. Quick in flat coverage breaking on short throws and chasing. Made plays in space. Showed range over the top and solid ball reactions. Tracked well moving downhill in run support. 2019 stats: 31 T, 1 TFL, 4 PBU, 2 INT. OSR:4/ 24. Second/third round. (A-32 7/8, H-10 3/8, VJ-42, SS-DNP).
