Ourlads' Profile:

2020 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about TREVON DIGGS:

Alabama, 6013 205 4.55. Two-year starter, Gaithersburg, MD. Third-team All-America and second-team All-SEC in 2019. Versatile athlete who saw action as a wide receiver, defensive back, and returner during his career. Took on a full time role on defense in 2018. Has played press man, press and bail, off man and off zone using outside and inside technique based on coverage. Physical in press using long arms to stab with a two hand or off hand jam. Can also play a reactive press technique. Physical re-route and sink in hard corner technique. Fluid to transition to lateral and turn and run. Normally mirrors cuts well in press and can undercut a route break and stay in phase. Sudden break on the ball. Solid zone awareness with the ability to see multiple threats. Has range in zone coverage. Plays the voids in zones and reacts quickly on the throw. Does a nice job reading the quarterback delivery key in Cover 2 and undercutting the deep route. Excellent ball skills. Receiver skill shows up as he can find the ball and get to the high point. Somewhat vulnerable to double moves in off man. Has given up some plays on stop and go routes. Some occasional hitch changing directions and can get grabby when separated. Recovery speed is suspect against fast receivers. Willing tackler but often comes in high and rarely gathers. Occasionally will take a wrong turn in press and get separated. Can be in phase and lose the ball on deep vertical routes. Has special team talent and return skill which could add to his versatility. Still a work in progress in some areas but size, length, and overall cover skill could get him drafted on day one.

2019 stats: 37 T, .5 TFL, 8 PBU, 1 FR (1 TD), 3 INT (1 TD). Position drills only-his choice. First/second round. (A-32 3/4, H-9 3/8, VJ-DNP, SS-DNP).
