Ourlads' Profile:
2020 Guide: What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about DAVON HAMILTON: Ohio State, 6034 320 5.18. One-year starter, Pickerington, OH. Third-team All Big 10 in 2019. Was part of a really deep and talented defensive line group in his early years which made it tough for him to see the field. He finally got his shot as a senior and did not disappoint. Had 10.5 tackles for loss and six sacks. A big, long, thick interior defender who will be able to handle the size and strength of the NFL right away. Needs to clean up hand techniques and time will tell if he is simply a role player or someone who can stay on the field. Even though his upside is limited, he can still be a solid, important player that best fits in a 4-3 front. Has the body of an NFL veteran. Barrel-chested with long arms and quick feet. An imposing figure. Has plus athleticism in space to run down the action, gets in on a lot of action inside the tackle box. Has elite upper body power that translates to the field. Shows an effective bull rush that slowly but surely gets more and more movement as the play transpires. Can maintain a wide, powerful base. Stands too tall and is late with his hands. Allows the blocker to get the initial positional advantage. Gives up too much ground against the run. Lacks an array of moves, his ability to rush the passer against pro blockers can be questioned. Just one full season of starting experience. 2019 stats: 28 T, 10.5 TFL, 6 sacks, 1 QBH. Edge speed:left 2.25, right 2.11. OSR:7/19. Third/fourth round. (A-33, H-9 7/8, BP-33, 10-1.81).
