Ourlads' Profile:

2017 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about TANOH KPASSAGNON: Villanova, 6067 280 4.82. Two-year starter and captain from Ambler, PA. A run stuffing 4-3 left end or a 3-4 five technique. Must work to stay low. You want this guy to get off the bus first with his chiseled frame, long arms, and huge hands. He looks like an NFL defensive end. He bends pretty well for a leggy guy. Gained 70 pounds since high school. Still needs to get more core strength to battle mammoth offensive tackles and to keep from being tossed and turned. Very raw in his technique for the next level. Needs more strength in his legs. Will always fight the leverage battle. Can be easily driven back when he loses his knee bend. Lacks instincts and awareness. A low motor guy who stays blocked. Most of his plays are made when he has a clear path. Top tier intangibles and off field intelligence with an educational background that is rare. On the field, Kpassagnon showed steady improvement throughout all five years at Villanova. After tearing his MCL in 2014, the light clicked and he was selected to the first-team All-Colonial Athletic Conference and was the defensive player of the year. In 2016, he took it to another level and was named an FCS All-America. His blend of tools and intangibles don’t come around often. Plain and simple, he may be a risk but he offers a level of upside as a developmental player that very few do in this entire class at a premium position. Senior Bowl notes: Heard some oohs and aahs when he tossed highly regarded tackle Forrest Lamp during pass rush drills like a bean bag chair. His first step lacks explosiveness. He obviously has a good upside based on his measurables. 2016 stats: 45 T, 21.5 TFL, 11 sacks, 1 PBU, 3 QBH, 1 FF, 2 FR, 1 BK. Edge speed:left 1.90, right 2.30. OSR:12/40. Third/fourth round. (A-34 7/8, H-10 7/8, BP-23, 10-1.71).
