Ourlads' Profile:
2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about GREGORY ROUSSEAU: Miami, 6060 260 4.68. Third year sophomore entry, one-year starter, Coconut Creek, FL. Opted out of the 2020 season. That one year was as good as it gets when looking at production, where he led the ACC with 19.5 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks, leading him to first-team All ACC and second-team All America honors. With Rousseau sitting out of 2020 and playing in only two games as a freshman before getting injured, his lack of game experience is noteworthy. Has played in just 15 games since high school. A disruptive and versatile pass rush talent. Checks several boxes, but there are questions revolving around his movement. Elite frame when it comes to height, length, and potential for muscle mass additions. Versatile inside-out rusher who excels in one-on-one situations. Prevents the blocker from locking on. Crafty and fast with his hands. Appears out of control but is actually wildly accurate and coordinated with his upper body. High effort player. Can swallow a lot of space with just a few steps. Rangy player that closes in a hurry. Locates the ball and can change his body positioning with ease. Can make himself slippery. Shows the versatility to line up both inside and outside, producing from both spots. Shows too much awkward and off-balanced movement in space. Needs to take the extra step or two to change direction when it isn’t planned. Inconsistent leverage. Will struggle with pad level. Doesn’t get off the ball consistently. Needs to show more violence off the ball. Shows much more power presence when moving in space than he does in the trenches. As impressive as he was in 2019, it has to be considered a possibility that he was a one-year wonder. Boom or bust prospect. 2019 stats: 54 T, 19.5 TFL, 15.5 sacks, 1 PBU, 7 QBH, 2 FF. Second/third round. (A-34 3/8, H-11 1/8, BP-21, 10-1.57).
