Ourlads' Profile:
2017 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about MONTRAVIUS ADAMS: Auburn, 6033 308 4.89. Three-year starter from Vienna, GA. First-team All-SEC and second-team All-America mention. Experienced and versatile inside player who lines up over center or the guards. Powerful first step to knock a blocker in the backfield. Really good footwork. Can stand a blocker up and redirect the flow of the engagement. Flashes the ability to pursue hard down the line and finish plays. Has demonstrated tackling violence. Has a nose for the ball. Adams is consistently inconsistent although this was his best year of production, book ending his 2015 season. The minute you get high on him, he’ll come out and loaf and jog after the ball. He is quick laterally and knows what to do and how to do it when engaging blockers. Needs to work on staying low. Inconsistent leverage is always an issue. Gives up his chest to blockers. Needs to elevate and improve his pass rush skill set. Was always a talented player but he didn’t take in coaching very well until his final off-season. That resulted in him being a consistent week to week dominant force rather than the occasional flash in a pan. His experience in multiple fronts and roles will only help his overall outlook around the league. He can be a factor in any defensive scheme. His man strength is already here and despite not having ideal measurables, he will be a more-than-solid player in the NFL. Senior Bowl notes: A powerful inside presence who can stack a double team or run right at him. Presses the pocket in the pass game. He can be as dominant as he wants to be. At times looked disinterested. 2016 stats: 44 T, 8.5 TFL, 4.5 sacks, 2 PBU, 15 QBH, 1 FF, 2 BK, 1 FR, 1 INT. Edge speed:left 2.02, right 2.34. OSR:7/16. Third/fourth round. (A-31 7/8, H-9 1/4, BP-22, 10-1.74).
