Ourlads' Profile:
2018 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about WILL HERNANDEZ: UTEP, 6023 327 5.19. Four-year starter from Las Vegas, NV. Lined up at left guard in the UTEP offense. Has solid height and a wide, sturdy frame. Overall, an athlete with good quickness and play speed. Flashes explosiveness, and plays with good balance. Very good pass protector. Has a powerful punch, gets good extension, and has an outstanding anchor to sit back and mirror. He is assignment aware, can pass off a twist, and always looks for work. Outstanding in the run game, he has rare play strength and creates a ton of movement off the ball despite his high operational pad level. Explosive on contact and drives his feet to finish defenders with a nasty temperament. He can torque, turn, and seal the hole. Excellent at the second level, he’s a smooth puller and is able to locate and finish with either a cut block, or drive defenders downfield. Projects as a future Pro Bowl guard who will create movement in the run game, and anchor the depth of the pocket. A man blocking scheme as opposed to a zone blocking scheme appears to be the best fit. OSR:6/38. First/second round. (A-32, H-9 7/8, BP-37, 10-1.79).
