LSU, 6002 190 4.40. Junior entry, three-year starter, Baton Rouge, LA. Earned first-team All-America honors from several sources along with first-team All-SEC in both 2019 and 2020. A Lisfranc foot injury and surgery shortened his 2021 season to three games. Ideal size and athletic ability he is an outstanding press corner with equal skill in off and zone coverage. Primarily an outside match corner he has fluid movements with loose hips. Very sticky in press coverage he is adept with two and off-hand jam to control releases. Fluid in all transitions and can easily mirror and undercut route breaks. In off coverage he shows a low smooth backpedal to maintain cushion. Adjusts well to the speed of the receiver and is seamless to turn and run. Stays in phase up the field. Excellent ball skills he shows the ability to react to the ball while in phase and go up for the interception. Has an instant break on the ball with no hint of wasted movement. Solid getting his hands to the catch point. Flashes physicality attacking and shedding stalk blocks. Solid tackling skill he normally bends and finishes but there is some inconsistency. At times shows a lack of aggression and misses an occasional tackle. As a zone defender has been involved in some miscommunication and blown coverage. He can give up inside leverage at times by jumping the first outside move. There have been a few instances of being in phase and not reacting to the ball allowing a catch. These issues showed up the last two seasons but his skill set is elite and his ability to mirror and react is remarkable. There is still some development ahead but he is an elite prospect with top five ability.
