Ourlads' Profile:
2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about DAMEON PIERCE:
Florida, 5095 218 4.59. One-year starter, Bainbridge, GA. Was a steady presence in the rotation for three seasons. Split carries and time in the backfield and along the way established himself as a physical gritty runner. Runs behind his pads with extreme leg drive and great balance, allowing for a tremendous amount of broken tackles. Has great forward lean in his running style. Limited production as a pass catcher. Displays a good feel for lane development. Reads and reacts to block development quickly and with a sense of urgency. Efficient in multiple run schemes. Finishes runs behind his pads, with authority and a low center of gravity. At times seemed highly underused, had just nine collegiate games with at least 10 carries. More of a straight-line thumper than an elusive make-you-miss back. Displayed the ability to run seam routes out of the backfield, however his route tree from the backfield is limited in view, possibly due to tightness in transition as a route runner. Some of that same tightness shows up when he abruptly changes directions as a runner, however he errors on the side of contact more often than not. A herky-jerky physical runner, who at times looks to be comfortable on the edge as opposed to runs in between the tackles. Real value as a complementary back for a team looking to add more of a physical running style.
