Ourlads' Profile:
2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about JEROME FORD:
Cincinnati, 5104 210 4.46. One-year starter, Tampa, FL. Spent two seasons at Alabama before transferring to Cincinnati. An undersized running back with a condensed, built torso and lower body. Uses athleticism to his advantage. Uses exceptional foot quickness, lateral agility, and speed to make defenders miss in space and behind line of scrimmage using jukes, stutter-steps, and straight speed. When he gets moving, is a tough, powerful running back that will drive his feet on contact and will gain yards after contact on his finish. Reliable option as a receiver who can turn a check down pass into a big gain. Best trait is his blocking ability; a very passionate blocker who will sprint full-speed downfield to set up a block for a teammate. Uses powerful hands and good stance in pass protection and as a lead blocker to win, and will take the biggest threat to the quarterback if there are multiple blitzers to his side. Inconsistent vision to find open lanes. Lacks patience to allow holes to open up, will run into the backs of blockers. Can be brought down at or behind the line of scrimmage easily when he doesn’t have momentum. Needs improved burst once he hits his running lane. Could be a solid backup and sub package back.
