Ourlads' Profile:
2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about NICK ZAKELJ:
Fordham, 6061 316 5.13. A rare five-year starter due to the Covid pandemic, Broadview Heights, OH. Three-time All-Patriot League selection and a 2021 All-America. Played tackle in college but due to length concerns, may have to move inside in the pros. His lack of core strength and anchor can present issues against the top tier of size and power, but the juice he has out of his stance and competitive fire will give him a fighting chance. If he adds some more mass on his frame, he could project to be a versatile backup. Feisty and competitive. Stays active and latched on to his man via twitchy feet and strong hands. Will stay attached as he swings his hips into the hole as a run blocker. Natural athleticism shows up on the move and at the second level. Adapted well to moving inside at the Senior Bowl and will present position versatility. Will fight an uphill battle against pro interior defenders. Hands get inaccurate and out of control when he comes down the line on reach blocks. The core strength and overall frame size will limit his ceiling.
OSR:11/51. Seventh round/PFA. (A-32 1/2, H-9 7/8, BP-27, 10-1.67).
