Ourlads' Profile:
2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about ARMANI ROGERS:
Ohio, 6054 216 4.75. Eighteen game starter, Los Angeles, CA. His starts were all at UNLV. The past two seasons were spent at Ohio as a backup/package quarterback. Was the 2017 Mountain West Freshman of the Year at UNLV, a program he set a record for most rushing yards by a quarterback. His transition to tight end did not officially begin until his final game was played. With that said, his tool set can be found on display. Has standout speed and body control for a player of his size. The natural athleticism is there, and he appears to be a quick, natural learner on the receiver’s side of things. Whether or not he can add enough bulk and power to just get in the way as a blocker will be a two-year project at least. Athletic, twitchy frame with more than enough length and width to add sustainable bulk in time. Easy long strider with a smooth, effortless acceleration process. Swallows a lot of space in a hurry. Natural hands-catcher that can see the ball on the move. Excellent leaper in all directions. Maintains integrity and balance when he extends. Made tremendous progress with multiple skill components in a short amount of time since the move to tight end. Will need to live in the weight room with an occasional extra trip to the cafeteria. Undersized and level of inexperience at the position will mean his first year is a redshirt season. Lower body lacks the necessary thickness and hands lack the necessary explosion as a blocker. Skills and strength will be behind in the trenches. Needs more presence at the catch point.
2021 stats: 29/49, 350 yds, 59.2%, 0 TD, 1 INT, 552 yds rushing, 7 TD, 115.1 QB rating. Sixth/seventh round. (A-33 1/2, H-9 1/2, VJ-DNP, SS-DNP).
