Ourlads' Profile:
2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about ALEC ANDERSON:
UCLA, 6051 305 5.42. Junior entry, two-and-a-half-year starter, Fontana, CA. With just 20 starts under his belt along with his long and lean frame that is in need of more muscle mass, he will be a project at the next level. He plays with fast feet and an aggressive nature, but there is a lot of work to be done before he can be counted on physically. Does not have a reliable, sturdy anchor and his hands don’t do damage. There is an upside that stems from his ability to move with balance and speed if he can find the right situation to develop under. Long and athletic frame with plenty of room for growth. Can gain more muscle mass in time without losing any quickness, has places to store it. Easy mover out of his stance that can explode laterally with a nice reach. Comfortable and balanced as he tries to swing his hips into the hole while engaged. Shows awareness of where his feet are, helping him stay square to his target. A nasty finisher that will work his way around the field looking for extra work. Needs to spend a lot of time in the weight room and cafeteria. Lack of true base strength prevents him from anchoring into the ground. Will get knocked off the ball too often. Wide hands and poor pad level consistency. Needs to play the game with more knee bend once the brute strength improves.
Sixth/seventh round. (A-33 1/4, H-10 3/8, BP-21, 10-1.94).
