Ourlads' Profile:
2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about CAMERON MCGRONE: Michigan, 6010 236 4.75. Redshirt sophomore entry, two year starter, Indianapolis, IN. Physical inside linebacker prospect who is still a work in progress as he only played in nineteen games counting the shortened season. Has a compact frame with lower body power. Solid with inside fits he is quick getting downhill and can sift through the wash to make plays inline. Has excellent short space agility and recovers well on cutbacks. Attacks blocks with knee bend and a quick powerful stun with his hands. Gets ball side leverage on blocks and can shed on the move. Has sideline to sideline range and breaks down on tackles with a powerful strike and finish. Consistently makes plays in pursuit. Has the speed and athletic ability to cover backs out of the backfield in coverage. He has improved in man coverage and has the speed to stay with a wheel route up the field. Rarely played zone but has shown the skill to run the seam in Cover 2. Used often to blitz he anticipates the snap and has a burst getting through gaps. Has been productive making plays in the backfield. Has a tendency to over pursue from the backside and over runs the ball. Needs to be more patient with read. In man coverage struggles at times with outside in cuts by a back and can over commit instead of staying on the back hip. Has been a little grabby at times on a double move. Has some development in front of him including learning NFL coverage. He has the tools of an every down starter inside and could fit as a Mike in a 4-3. Has been a solid special team player covering kicks. 2020 stats: 26 T, 2 TFL, .5 sack. Fifth/sixth round. (A-32 1/8, H-9 1/4, BP-20, SS-NA, VJ-NA).
