Ourlads' Profile:
2019 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about RENELL WREN: Arizona State, 6047 318 5.00. Fifth year senior and one year starter from St. Louis, MO. Earned honorable mention All Pac 12 honors following the 2018 season. Was moved around the line early in his career, but he settled in at the nose tackle in 2018 where his elite power and reach was a difference maker in the middle of their line. Wren was a fun player to watch because of how much he imposed his will and presence on centers. He won’t be a pass rusher early in his career, but any team that wants consistent presence along the inside will want this guy. High upside pick because of his naturally dominant traits. Imposing figure that can make grown men give a second glance before mixing it up with him. If football doesn’t work out, he’ll be a sought-after bouncer. Looks big and tough, plays even bigger and tougher. A force off the ball with elite power, reach, and hand usage. Plays a low game and rarely gets beat with leverage. A boulder in the middle of the line that won’t be moved by multiple blockers. A strong and violent finisher that makes hits and tackles with bad intentions. Gets a solid push up the pocket as a pass rusher, will shorten the pocket and has the radius that can really disrupt a passer. Struggles to get away from traffic. Needs to add to his pass rush repertoire. Gets caught off guard by blockers coming at him laterally. Spends a little too much time on the ground. 2018 stats: 43 T, 4.5 TFL, 1 sack, 2 PBU. Edge speed:left 2.01, right 2.18. OSR:3/21. Second/ third round. (A-33 7/8, H-10, BP-30, 10-1.77).
