Ourlads' Profile:
2019 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about JARRETT STIDHAM: Auburn, 6023 218 4.81. Junior entry from Stephenville, TX. The Baylor transfer was a two year starter in a run-oriented offense. The right handed passer throws a nice catchable spiral with a strong wrist snap. Good enough arm strength to play on Sundays. Has a compact delivery and gets the ball out on all the short and quick pass routes. His ability to read defense and coverage has been inconsistent. One play he looks like a Sunday player. The next play he overshoots a wide open touchdown making wide receiver. Keeps his eyes focused down the field. During the Senior Bowl practices he demonstrated arm strength on deep out cuts. His field and pocket awareness were inconsistent. Sticks in the pocket. Flashes a sudden release with plenty of zip on the ball. Stidham was good at chunk yardage throws down the field, but he missed several wide open receivers or forced the ball into coverage. Question his natural feel for the passing game and the ability to read the play as it develops. Flashes the ability to extend play at times. Will work the pocket where he can step up and throw the ball. Has had a problem with ball security in the past. The right handed passer must continue to clean up his footwork, decision making, accuracy, consistent arm slot passes, and ball security before he gets on a game field. Needs pro development. 2018 stats: 224/369, 2794 yds, 60.7%, 18 TD, 5 INT, 1 yd rushing, 3 TD, 137.7 QB rating. Ball velocity 53 mph. OSR:13/16. Third/fourth round. (A-32, H-9 1/8, SS-4.34, VJ-31).
