Ourlads' Profile:
2019 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about CHARLES OMENIHU: Texas, 6053 280 4.94. Two and a half year starter from Rowlett, TX. First-team All-Big 12 defender finally blossomed in 2018. Is one of the more impressive specimens in this class when you are looking at simple triangle numbers. Has the NFL body right now and will make an impact early on as a run defender from any and all angles of the defensive line. Can be graded at different positions based on which scheme he is placed into, but no matter what his upside is intriguing and he will be a physical force against the run. If he can continue to progress as a pass rusher the way he did in 2018, he will be one of the more dangerous inside-out defenders in the NFL. Has the kind of body that football gods carve from stone. Elite frame that carries weight with ease across his ultra-wide wingspan and well proportioned body. The size translates to quality football movement and power production. Creates heavy and sturdy contact. Will often play lower than his opponent in one-on-one situations despite the lengthy height. Repeated hand and feet techniques. Has experience inside and outside with the skill set to go with that kind of versatility label. High effort player that will pursue across and down the field with bad intentions and a scary amount of power. Seems to always be missing something to his game. Has a lot of hesitation and awkwardness in his movement as he approaches and reacts to blockers. Doesn’t look natural. Lacks flow and consistent balance. A lot of recovery steps needed. Has a tendency to lose track of the action coming at him from left/right. 2018 stats: 45 T, 18 TFL, 9.5 sacks, 2 PBU, 5 QBH, 1 FF. Edge speed:left 2.05, right 2.19. OSR:15/31. Third/ fourth round. (A-36, H-9 3/8, BP-DNP, 10-1.74).
