Ourlads' Profile:
2012 Guide: What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about RILEY REIFF: Iowa, 6056 313 5.16. Junior entry. Three-year starter who uses his skills as a three time state champion wrestler to dominate as a zone blocking left tackle. Plays in a pro style offense. An explosive knee bender with good leg drive, strength, and surge. Equally productive as a pass or run blocker. Sets the edge of the offense on the left side with his lateral quickness and range. A flexible tackle who bends his knees with good balance recovery and space adjustment as an athlete. Reiff is skilled at the most important skill for an offensive lineman in the NFL - pass blocking. Good set quickness, patience, quick feet, and ability to slide shuffle his feet. He can run a speed rusher up the field, yet can redirect on a two move player trying to come underneath. Can anchor a bull rush. Smooth, square, and athletic handling inside moves or outside games like a tackle-end twist. Not a waist bender. Aggressive fit on his base and reach blocks. Has strong hands to gain control, lock out, and adjust his hands. Has the ability to create separation. Can shock a pass rusher with his punch. Quick enough to cut a wide speed rusher if necessary. Gives effort and hustle to make the downfield second level block. Not asked to pull and trap in Iowa’s zone blocking scheme. Talented enough to contribute as a first year starter. OSR:20/ 48. First round. (A-33 1/4, H-10 1/8, BP-23, 10-1.77).
