Two-year starter, Madison, CT. Began his career at Penn State where he redshirted and started two games. The two-time team captain, played under two NFL offensive coaches. His 2021 coordinator was Liam Coen, who previously coached quarterbacks for the Rams. His 2022 coordinator Rich Scangarello, previously coached quarterbacks for the Niners. That exposure will give him a slight head start into pro-caliber scheming, game planning, and overall demands. Has the prototype profile for today’s quarterback. A big, strong, and physical kid who could fit in with the linebackers. His muscle mass is functional. Has a cannon for an arm and his base is thick and strong. He graduated in three years and then obtained his masters degree over the course of his two years at Kentucky. A tough kid with intelligence and good leadership traits. All the talent and tools are there but the consistency was not. Levis had such a roller coaster tenure with Kentucky, and he did not win the starting job at Penn State. At some point, the tools need to evolve into dependable play that can be relied upon week to week. He never quite got there. Athletically built that supports his style of play. Thick in the right places with good twitch, explosion, and mobility. Easy arm power that can get the ball to all levels with juice. Easily launches the ball deep downfield. Can still put the ball on a rope even if the lower half is not fully involved. Can flick the wrist and the ball just jumps out. Everything about his throwing motion looks strong and athletic. Can maneuver through traffic with light footwork and eyes downfield. Maintains his level of accuracy on the move. Will play through injury and put the team first. Inconsistent accuracy and ball placement. Lacks consistent weight transfer and will throw off his back foot at times causing erratic throws. Also can be seen throwing across his body on some throws going to his left. Almost too powerful for his own good, lacks touch and the ability to layer the ball over linebackers. Does not play with a repeatable rhythm. Confidence is shaky. Simply too many turnovers that were fully on his shoulders. Will come into the league with top ten talent for the position, but it will take a quality coach and system to bring him along slowly but surely if they want him to play at a dependable level of consistency.
