When looking at the big picture, that put a significant dent into his potential production. Since the start of 2020, he’s played in just 14 games and caught 64 balls. Most receivers get those numbers in one season. There will be a lot of projecting with a player like this, more than usual. However, when considering his per-game production and skill set, Wilson has some hidden-gem in his game. The size and movement traits are there, the routes are crisp, and he is a fiery competitor who can contribute in multiple ways from multiple alignments. Coming from such a poor offense hindered his ability to display all these traits and if he stays healthy, the upside is that of a solid number two in the league. Sizeable frame that carries his weight well. Densely built but shows sudden and twitchy movement underneath to get open. Detail oriented as a route runner. Snaps in and out of breaks. A credible threat after the catch. Physical and quick with good vision. Can line up from multiple spots. Has experience on special teams as a gunner. Significant durability concerns will require extra screening. Lacks experience and production typical of a five-year player. Needs to show better ball skills, both with his hands and coming back to the football. Too many drops and does not box out defensive backs well. Does not get separation as a vertical route runner, may be limited on the route tree. He is a hard-nosed receiver with good size and should be able to line up in multiple spots as well as contribute as a special teams defender, but there is a lot of gray area with him across multiple portions of the projection.
