Two-year starter, Indianapolis, IN. Earned All-Big 10 honors the past two seasons and All-America in 2022 The former Division I basketball recruit has one of the more unique bodies in the entire class. Elite length and width. His frame is massive in all directions. Will immediately be one of the largest men in the league full of giants. Has learned to use that size to his advantage. While his movement traits get ugly at times, he has the kind of reach and lockout strength that can control his man with ease. His mass and explosion can get tremendous movement upon contact. He has developed better footwork over his two years in the starting lineup. Still needs to work on his lower half to avoid the ugly beats where he is off balance and slow, but the physical gifts are rare, and his impact is real. Simply a hard guy to get around and way too big to try and push through. Tremendous power presence and push. Has a lethal initial arm extension that can stop a defender dead in his tracks. Athletic lower half. Can burst and get on his man in a hurry. Overwhelming presence. Shows deficiencies in his lower body mechanics on a weekly basis. Top heavy frame leads to over-bending from the waist, leaving him vulnerable to secondary moves. Too often found with his face mask looking at the ground. Recovery methods are poor and lead to penalties. Has gifts and power that cannot be ignored but he does not always play to the natural athletic ability and may need to drop some weight for long term durability and current ability to adjust naturally.
