Four-year starter, Jacksonville, FL. Second team All-ACC selection. Long, muscular frame with some room for growth. Best utilized as an inline player; can be split out as well. A viable target at all three levels of the field as a receiver. Shows great burst out of two and three-point stances, and utilizes foot quickness, agility, and processing speed to create separation at the top of his routes. Solid hip fluidity as a route runner to create separation as a receiver at the top of his route. Great mental processing ability to quickly recognize coverages. Soft hands at the catch point. Shows excellent body control; great adjustment skills to fully flip his body around, and utilizes tracking skills to locate the ball in the air, create full extension from his body, and haul in the catch outside of his strike zone. Considerable acceleration with the ball in his hands to rack up significant yards after the catch. Overall sufficient athletic ability; as a run blocker, utilizes great foot quickness, agility, and short-area burst to climb to the second and third level efficiently. Uses proper leverage and hand placement to execute blocks at the point-of-attack against linebackers, nickels, and safeties. Shows strong effort and desire to make an impact as a run blocker and in pass protection. Fringe contact balance when getting jammed in his route, and has difficulty separating from press coverage. He needs to be more physical at the catch point to haul in more contested catches. Needs to increase functional strength to win as a blocker versus edge rushers and defensive linemen. A liability in pass protection to win versus both power and speed rushers.
