Junior entry, two-year starter, Maple Grove, MN. Two-time honorable mention All-Big 10. Hull is a compact, densely built back who plays quicker than he does fast. A low-cut short strider who can make himself small and hard to grab in traffic. His big play potential is not there, as there is a notable cap on his athleticism. His short-armed frame and lack of overall size can make it difficult for him to factor as a blocker. This results in a back who can occasionally make things happen with the ball in his hands with in and out cuts and one who catches the ball well as a receiver. There simply will not be enough impact coming from him play to play, week to week to warrant anything more than a spot on the bottom of the depth chart. Runs low to the ground with good vision and anticipation. Sharply changes direction with plus balance and control. Can maximize the space he is given. Runs with an aggressive mindset, contact balance, and hunger for more. Receiver-caliber hands and ball skills in the passing game. Has a hard time opening his strides. Will get caught from behind, does not have that final gear. Lacks creativity and innovation. Impact as a blocker and lack of length will make it hard for him to sustain. Hull will give a team exactly what a reliable backup will provide.
