Washington is a uniquely built slot receiver who looks like he belongs in the running back room. Carries evenly distributed muscle mass that is used effectively to break tackles after the catch and remain balanced through traffic. While the reach radius is small, he has proven over and over that he can make contested catches and get to balls away from his body. He is tough, hard-nosed, and creates big plays on his own. Strong, sturdy lower body that comes straight from the squat rack. Creates tremendous power and balance that show up both as a route runner and as a ball carrier. Abrupt at the top of his route and will snap to his points. Gets his head around fast with hands up and ready. Brings in the ball away from his body with strong mitts. Natural feel and vision with the ball which creates production by itself. Adds value as a reliable punt returner. Nearly lined up in the slot 9:1 compared to outside. Does not have enough experience against press coverage. Short strider that does not have the next gear once in space. May have separation issues against quality man coverage. Washington is a slot-only prospect that has a unique body and play style for the position which may need the right system to be effective, but has the ability to create on his own consistently.
