2023 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about A.T. PERRY:

Wake Forest | H: 6034 W: 195 40: 4.45 A: 3314 H: 0914 W: 8158

Two-year starter, Lake Worth, FL. Two-time first team All-ACC. The former high school basketball player and long jumper left Wake Forest atop the single season and career touchdown reception rankings. His 1,293 yards in 2021 and 1,096 in 2022 rank second and third among single season highs in program history. When it comes to on-field impact, Perry was a bit of a late bloomer but once he got going, the train never slowed down. An incredibly unique athlete with a rare combination of size, bend, and balance. He does not jump off the screen when it comes to speed, but the suddenness and agility he can play with, and elite-level catch radius can do serious damage short and intermediate. Needs a well-timed passing game and there is a cap on his potential impact but in a league that favors the passing game in that 7-10 yard window, Perry can do damage. Hands hang down toward his knees. Has the kind of reach capacity that belongs on the basketball court. Loose, but stable lower body joints increase his ability to get open via quality routes. Comes into the league pro-ready in that department. Snags the ball with his hands. Shows easy coordination and accuracy to the pass. Adjusts at the last instant without losing control or balance. Has enough build up speed to maintain separation if he gets some vertically. Highly productive player. Does not have the sudden burst or explosion to pose as a true vertical threat. Lacks the twitch after the catch to make a consistent difference. Has multiple bad drops on tape each of the past three years. Does not play a physical brand, is a non-factor as a blocker. Has a few traits that can be considered high-end, but the baseline athleticism and speed are very average.

2022 Stats: 81-1096, 13.5 ypr, 11 TD. OSR:14/46. 4th/5th round.
