Four-year starter, Owings Mills, MD. Earned honorable mention All-Big 10 honors three straight seasons. A light-footed, easy bending blocker with several key boxes checked. The thickness in his legs, athleticism, and ability to remain square against his opponent all appear to be pro-ready. His game may be best suited inside where he can maximize his body type and skill set. Easy flexion at the ankle and knees which heavily aid his anchor and initial set up. Textbook footwork post-snap with a stifling jab to the chest plate when he gets hips involved. Rarely found overextending or off center. Wide base and plus-athleticism can make things look easy when engaged. Elite range as he pulls out into space against second and third level defenders and shows dominant traits on the move. Has multiple years of pass blocking struggles including seven sacks allowed and ten penalties in 2022. Lack of reach shows up in the hand-battles. Often late with hands and will lose control of engagement. Struggles to reach his point on the edge against speed rushers. Outside shoulder is soft. Inconsistent anchor stemming from timing issues that pop up too often considering his experience level. The tools are all there, but the tape does not always sync up. Had way too many losses in pass protection and there is a length-shortcoming that could lead to problems on the outside. Has consistency issues that may cause him to be moved inside but no matter what position he ends up playing, there is an incredibly high ceiling to mold.
