Three-year starter, West Point, MS. Spent two seasons at East Mississippi Community College before transferring in 2020. Earned All-Conference USA honors in both 2022 and 2021. Brownlee’s most attractive traits center around his catch radius and long speed. He is tall with above average length connected to a muscular, functionally strong frame. The flashes he has shown over his career when it comes to making the difficult catch and playing through contact in combination with those tools will be a draw to developmental-minded coaches. The baseline tools and skills are good enough to project him as a potential number two target down the road. Proper blend of triangle numbers with a couple plus-marks. Hands hang near his knees and they’re attached to broad shoulders. Will out-reach defenders in contested situations. Coordinated and bendy enough to adjust late. Tracks the ball over his shoulder. Maintains body control down the field, will be a trusty deep threat. Shows good rhythm off the line with his footwork and hip movement. Can beat the jam a variety of ways. Still gets a bit clunky when he needs to be a sudden route runner. Does not always use speed to maximum potential. Creates too much contact with defenders rather than leveling up the separation. Too many drops on easy balls. Lacks quick burst post-catch. He can really go up and get it with his combination of size, speed, and leaping ability but simply needs to clean up the edges to his skill set if he is going to stick.
