Ourlads' Profile:
2019 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about ROCK YA-SIN: Temple, 5116 192 4.54. Started his only year at Temple after a transfer from Presbyterian where he was a two year starter. From Decatur, GA. Primarily a man-to-man corner for the Owls with outstanding press technique. Somewhat raw overall but has fluid movement with quick change of direction. As a press corner flashes a stiff off-hand jam to control the release. Normally takes away the inside and ignores the first move away from his leverage. Very sticky with quick feet to mirror route breaks and stay in a receiver’s pocket. Has the functional speed to stay in phase on deep vertical routes. In off coverage normally transitions well flashing a sudden plant and drive with the ball in the air. Has natural ball skills with consistent hands getting to the catch point. Can get to the high point with the ball in the air. When in phase consistently finds the ball for the break up. Gives an effort in run support and will throw his body in there. Needs some technique work in tackling as he will hesitate and miss. Some catch and grab at this point. Loses leverage at times in press and off coverage. Some hesitation and an occasional false step transitioning in off-coverage. Some vulnerability to a double move off the line. The Senior Bowl practices exposed some technique issues especially in zone coverage. Will need work on processing routes in outside zone. He will also have to develop technique in things like working a zone turn versus a man turn and closing voids. Ya-Sin is a developmental prospect with the length and athletic ability teams look for in an outside corner. 2018 stats: 47 T, 2 TFL, 12 PBU, 2 INT. BTR:left 4.61, right 4.78. OSR:30/33. Second/third round. (A- 32, H-9 7/8, VJ-39.5, SS-4.32).
