Ourlads' Profile:

2017 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about ZACH CUNNINGHAM: Vanderbilt, 6034 234 4.68. Junior entry from Pinson, AL, Two-and-a-half year starter. A unanimous first-team All-America and first-team All-SEC player. The most decorated football player in Vanderbilt history. A gazelle playing linebacker. Can outrun most running backs to the sideline. Has the kind of explosion and acceleration that can make a true, big time difference. Finishes hard and violent. Will create more power on contact than his frame would suggest. Comfortable in space. Uses length to his advantage, good tackle radius. Swallows ball carriers with his arms. Can make high difficulty tackles in space on the move. Has a way of sneaking by and under blockers. Great lower body flexibility. A factor in coverage that can run stride for stride with tight ends and some wide receivers. Lack of bulk and staying power are issues in traffic. Too easily moved by blockers that square him up. Too many false steps. Doesn’t show foot quickness in a phone booth. Not nearly as comfortable in the tackle box as he is in pursuit. Bails too quickly on staying square to the line. In a league where speed and versatility are the name of the game, Cunningham is going to raise a lot of eyebrows. Despite the less than ideal frame for physical play, his ability to play sideline to sideline and run like the wind will potentially be in high demand. He stood out weekly on a defense with very little talent. He is a playmaker who, if used correctly, can be an immediate impact. There are holes in his game that could be significant in the NFL. High risk, high reward. 2016 stats: 125 T, 16.5 TFL, 3 PBU, 1 QBH, 2 FF, 1 FR, 1 BK. Edge speed:left1.83, right 1.89. OSR:13/51. First/second round. (A-34 3/8, H-9 1/4, BP-15, SS-4.31).
