Junior entry, three-year starter, Springfield, IL. Second team All-ACC in 2022. After a career spent at left tackle leading up to his final year, the team opted to shift him inside to accelerate his preparation for the next level. Has the body of a guard, as the length simply is not there for the outside. In addition, his style of play is better suited to pass protection against interior defensive linemen more than ends. While he will bring a versatility option to his usage in the NFL, he will primarily be a guard in a gap-heavy scheme. He is smart and plays sticky with an active, low-to-ground base. Strong lockout game with excellent use of leverage. Naturally bends at the knees with well-timed extension across multiple upper body joints. Gets the most out of himself. A hustler who plays through the whistle. Can handle snaps at all positions. Lack of length shows up off the snap. Does not have enough true power and athletic ability to recover if initially beat. Will lean a bit too much, ending up on the ground. Game is too linear, he needs better agility for adjustments. His versatility and grit will give him a higher outlook than what his ability alone can provide, but the ceiling is limited and should be viewed as versatile depth more than a potential starter.
