Ourlads' Profile:
2018 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about ROYCE FREEMAN: Oregon, 5114 229 4.57. Four-year starter from Imperial, CA. His career began with a bang, earning Pac-12 Freshman Offensive Player of the Year honors followed by a first-team All Pac-12 nomination by the coaches as a sophomore, a season in which he set the Oregon record for rushing yards with 1836. Last season didn’t go as planned, playing nicked up for most of the year which prompted him to return to school for his senior season. Freeman is built like a man, with tree trunk legs that provide plus-power and balance. Incredibly sturdy after contact and grades out near the top of all ball carriers in the ability to break tackles. Has the straight-line acceleration and speed to take advantage of creases, as he led the nation in rushes over 15 yards from 2014-2016. He is a little stiff when it comes to stop and go lateral movement, and won’t do much without the space that the Oregon scheme provides on his own. The lack of wiggle may make it tough for him to consistently escape initially, but once he has a head of steam moving downhill he is tough to slow down. In his 51 games started, Freeman rushed for 5621 yards, 60 touchdowns, and averaged 5.9 yards per carry and 110.2 yards per game. He has also grabbed 79 career passes for 814 yards and four touchdowns. Must improve his pass protection ability to be a consistent contributor on the next level. OSR:11/29. 2017 stats: 1475 yds, 6.1 ypc, 16 TD, 14 rec, 164 yds, 11.7 ypr. Third/fourth round. (A-32, H-9 1/2, BP-17, SS-4.31).
