Ourlads' Profile:
2015 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about DEAN MARLOWE: James Madison, 6014 203 4.58. Four-year starter from Queens, NY. Carefully aggressive style. Shows quick decision making and assertive reactions. Will play physical near the line of scrimmage. Strong tackler with the presence to deliver a violent pop. Will break down and wrap up in space. Lacks the straight line speed to run vertical with receivers. Shows lateral range in deep half coverage. Can reach the sidelines. Times the blitz well, can factor as an extra outside rusher. Has been one of the top defenders in the CAA Conference over his entire career. A versatile safety without any glaring holes in his game. He was used in a variety of ways and his ability to creep up in to the box on one play and play in deep coverage on the next will be attractive to most teams. Needs a year or two to develop if he wants to be more than a special teamer. Needs more bulk for the style he plays with. Good week of practice at the East-West Shrine game where he looked fluid in pass coverage. Demonstrated a good deep overlap and break on the ball. Looks like he can play in the slot as well as nickel and linebacker in some packages. 2014 stats: 96 T, 3 FF, 9 PBU. BTR:left 5.07, right 4.90. OSR:7/19. Seventh round/PFA. (A-31, H-8 3/4, VJ-33.5, SS-4.18).
