Ourlads' Profile:
2020 Guide: What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about EZRA CLEVELAND: Boise State, 6060 311 4.93. Junior entry, three-year starter, Spanaway, WA. Earned honorable mention All Mountain West honors in 2017, and first-team honors the past two years. Has a wrestling background and it shows. His body control and balance are noteworthy, as he never seems to lose his feet and you rarely find him lunging for a defender or wind up on the ground. His techniques with his hand and feet create the notion that his learning curve in the NFL won’t be as steep as some others. The question for him will center around length and lockout and whether or not that makes him move inside. He could likely be a quality backup at both spots and a starter once he adds more strength and power to his arsenal. Functionally strong and thick frame. Always has his feet under him with proper knee bend and torso position. Almost always wins the hand battle with inside position and a strong grip. Rarely caught out of position and does a nice job of maintaining solid contact. Stays square to his target. Changes up his approach in pass protection. Shows patience with an easy-going mind, but will jump at a pass rusher too and take over initially. Solid anchor, doesn’t give much against the bull rush. Will catch too much contact rather than initiate with a solid stab or punch. Gets a little too patient, allowing defenders into his body. Will struggle to beat speed rushers up the edge. OSR:2/41. Second/third round. (A-33 3/8, H-9, BP-30, 10-1.74).
