Ourlads' Profile:
What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about GRAYLAND ARNOLD: Baylor, 5091 186 4.55. Two-year starter, Kountze, TX. Second-team All-Big 12 in 2019. Played corner his first two years and missed 2018 with an injury. Switched to outside linebacker in Baylor’s new 3-3-5 defense. The position is similar to the hybrid linebacker in the NFL but he also played in the box. Shows instincts and chase ability. His alignment allows him to run to the football. Shows quick short space re-direction and can make plays in space. Solid blitzer with snap anticipation to make plays in the backfield. Excellent short flat defender with vision and ability to quickly flip his hips to close gaps in between zones. Has man skill in a short space. Reacts well to back release to the flat and on quick inside cuts. Reads on the quarterback and sudden break on the throw produced six interceptions in 2019. Not as effective when asked to cover a slot or back on a vertical route as he lacks the fifth gear and can get separated. Wrap up tackler. Can get knocked off the ball aligned on a guard in the box. Takes an occasional bad angle in pursuit. His position doesn’t really fit in the NFL but he is an outstanding special teams player including kick returns. He projects as a nickel on a team that plays a lot of zone. 2019 stats: 46 T, 2.5 TFL, 1 sack, 2 PBU, 6 INT, 12-149 PR (1 TD). OSR:24/24. Seventh round/PFA. (A-29, H-9 1/8, VJ-33, SS-4.30).
