Ourlads' Profile:
2018 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about GREG STROMAN: Virginia Tech, 5110 182 4.49. Started 29 of 50 games over the past four years, including all 13 in 2017. From Bristow, VA. Undersized corner with a slender build. Has outstanding quickness in a short area. Fluid in initial movement with a quick pedal. Experience in a wide variety of techniques but is most often matched up on the outside. Sudden change of direction in transition. Mirrors cuts extremely well with smooth movement and reactions to breaks. Quick with his feet. Can cover the tall receivers as he plays bigger than he is. Can get walled off by a physical receiver but he battles. Is aggressive in coverage and can cut off a route. Very tough to shake. Solid in zone coverage with good vision to see the quarterback and the receivers in his zone. Closes the void in zone quickly and gets to a lot of balls. Quick break on the ball with the throw in front of him. Good ball skills for the pass break getting his hand into the catch point. Willing tackler and gives a great effort but can get bounced around at times. Has solid return skills and this combined with cover skill will be his ticket. Will have to be on a team that values his cover skill above size. May project as a sub package player in some schemes. 2017 stats: 20 T, 15 PBU, 4 INT, 35-397 PR, 11.3 avg, 2 TD, long 91 yds. BTR:left 4.97, right 4.88. OSR:33/41. Fifth/sixth round. (A-29 7/8, H-8 3/4, VJ-33.5, SS-4.45).
