Ourlads' Profile:
2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about BO MELTON:
Rutgers, 5110 189 4.34. Four-year starter, Mays Landing, NJ. Earned Honorable Mention All-Big 10 honors in 2020. A hard-nosed, tough speedster with multiple ways to help a team. As a receiver, he is undersized. He does not show up well in traffic, but he can really move. Has the straight-line speed to put a corner on his heels and enough sudden change of direction to make things happen with the ball. Has scored touchdowns as a receiver, rusher, and returner. Also brings a high ceiling as a gunner. Should be able to stick to the back end of a roster early in his career. From there it will be all about him developing his game beyond what his current skill set and size suggest. Explosive from a standstill. Will reach his upper-tier top end speed in a hurry. Can run the vertical route tree with force. Shows the ability to stop and turn a tight corner. Strong, well-developed lower body with excellent stability at his joints. Highly competitive and plays a tough brand. Will make things happen with the ball in his hands with his combination of speed, change of direction, and desire. Small across multiple spectrums. Hand size, arm length, and overall thickness will be an issue in contested situations. Gets covered up easily. Did not show consistent hands and overall ball skills. Poor timing when going for the ball.
2021 stats: 55-628, 11.4 ypr, 3 TD. OSR:8/33. Sixth/seventh round. (A-31 1/4, H-9, VJ-38, SS-4.10).
