Arizona State | H: 6014 W: 307 40: 5.16 A: 3278 H: 0978 W: 7858
Three-year starter, Pembroke Pines, FL. Played four seasons at Miami before transferring to Arizona State for the 2022 season. All-ACC honorable mention in 2020. Muscular upper body with room for growth in his lower half, and noticeably short arms. Plays best in one-gap schemes as either a rotational one-tech or threetech. Has a solid first step off the line-of-scrimmage. Shows good functional strength to take on base blocks and hold his own, gives up little ground in these situations. Quickly recognizes blocking schemes with great mental processing ability and will adjust to best take on blocks. Uses considerable lateral agility to shift gaps while staying square. Shows ability to skinny up and win leverage in his gap. Can force his way through gaps utilizing brute strength and a quick first step to get in the backfield efficiently. Has shown a solid bull rush move with active hands when pass rushing. Violent tackler who uses proper form. High motor player. Gets consistently knocked off the line-of-scrimmage with ease versus double teams. His short arms make it difficult for him to create extension when engaged, and ultimately struggles to shed blocks. When engaged, needs to improve his use-of-hands, as he will disengage without shedding and block himself. Other than his bull rush, shows little value in pass rush due to lack of an arsenal of moves and lack of counters. Bad habit of unnecessarily spinning off of blocks which slows him down, especially in pursuit.
